We set the tone....the Langerweher have always claimed - and rightly so.
Because the descendants of the medieval potter families have done their craft
understood how to preserve it through all crises.
Pottery has been present in Langerwehe for over 1000 years. In the village one encounters the ceramic handicraft in many places, one only has to walk through Langerwehe with open eyes to see where pottery was or is still being made.
The wells, the active potteries, the access road to the old church on the hill bear witness to this
Rymelsberg and last but not least, of course, the pottery museum in Pastoratsweg. At the end of the 1930s, the municipality of Langerwehe acquired the old vicarage on the Rymelsberg. Here the collection of Langerweh vessels assembled by Vice President Josef Schwarz has found a permanent home. In the 1950s, the community began rebuilding parts of the building that had been destroyed in the war. Today the collection is based on an extended museum concept (toepfereimuseum.de/)

Events are held here several times a year. At certain times you can even get married in the fireplace room.
