Beautiful place to rest. The best way to visit this route on weekdays ... few people and peace. On weekends and holidays, this is a much-used route.

In July 2002 the “Maria im Weinberg” chapel was consecrated.
Pastor Berthold Grönert explained the naming of the chapel. Accordingly, the dukes took over the supervision of the areas in earlier times. Thus they were the country fathers, their wives the country mothers. In Franconia, the prince-bishop took on the role of father of the country. The Duchess was replaced by the Mother of God, which resulted in numerous depictions of the Virgin Mary and, last but not least, the "Maria, Duchess of Franconia".

The chapel is a nice detail on the way from Gössenheim up to the castle ruins of Homburg.
