A narrow path starting at the parking lot of the Gambachs wastewater treatment plant leads to the spot where a lower jaw of a Mastodonsaurus was found. This find can be visited in Munich in the Bavarian State Collection of Paleontology.
The Mastodonsaurus is a genus of Temnospondyler amphibians from the Middle to Upper Triassic of Europe. This genus was one of the largest amphibians in the history of the earth, but was surpassed by Prionosuchus. Wikipedia
