You can get to the lake from Askvoll on well-signposted paths. The wooden bridge on the last quarter of the path should not be taken, as the path runs in "green" horsetail meadows in flat water. Only a few meters from the bridge there are stones in the river bed and you can walk past the meadow without getting your feet wet.
At the end of the trail you can either take a refreshing dip or pause on the plateau across the lake.
