    Hiking

The history of this church dates back to the end of the 10th century.
The building is therefore registered for its historical value and medieval elements still preserved to this day.
The church is said to have been built as a successor to a small St Michael's Chapel at the top of Skirrid Fawr, a few miles south.

However old the church may be, the roof of the nave is very recent. It collapsed several times over the centuries. The last time in 1974. It was only completely reconstructed in 2000.
