1936
It began before the First World War with the famous "poison booth", which was destroyed during the storm surge in 1936. It represented the beginning of the beach buildings typical of St. Peter and Ording and was continued after World War II in a new bathing establishment licensed for alcoholic beverages.

1961
In 1961, the municipality of Ording leased the "Strandcafe" in the bathing cubicle to Marx Adolf Dirks from Schwabstedt and subsequently to Mrs. Struve, who continued the business until 1975.

1975
With Doris Brauer and "Doris Strandcafe", the more than 30-year-old "classic epoch" of cultivation began at the same time. The warm and distinctive nature of the landlady in dealing with entire generations of guests has accompanied the gastronomic location into the new millennium. "Doris beach cafe" will be unforgettable.

2008
The BEAUTIFUL 54 ° NORD wants to continue this tradition in its own way. The all-round renewal, the enlargement of the sea terrace in the style of a comfortable sundeck and the cozy-modern interior of the restaurant speak a new language. At the helm of the new gastronomic flagship at Ordinger Strand are Nadin and Sönke with their team.
