1909 the project of the brick church was approved. 1912 a branch of the Lithuanian Catholic Temperance Society was established (led by priest Justinas Aukštuolis), a library - a reading room - was allowed to be established. 1914 a new church was built on the site of the old church. By 1915 brick walls. 1922-1924 construction and funds were taken care of by pastor Juozas Balčiūnas, later by prelate Bernardas Suziedėlis. Before the work was completed, in 1924 believers moved to the new church. The church was to be a two-towered one, but funds were sufficient for only one tower, which was completed in 1929. Priest Stasys Šlamas (late 19th century) restored the Lithuanian language in the church. He also distributed the Lithuanian press. 2009 government permission was obtained for the completion of the second tower.

My visit to this church, located on the right bank of the Strėva River, was an impressive experience. The church, originally designed as a two-towered structure, is an outstanding example of architectural durability and cultural significance. The construction of the current brick church was approved in 1909 and was built on the foundations of the old church, which was demolished in 1914. The construction of the brick walls was completed by 1915.
