In many parts of the Rhön either the Heidelstein or the Kreuzberg can be seen. Their distinctive transmission masts make them easily recognizable. Here on the plateau, both can be seen, depending on which direction you look: to the north is the Heidelstein (925.7 m above sea level, fourth highest mountain in the Rhön) and to the south is the Kreuzberg (927.8 m above sea level , third highest mountain in the Rhön).
