The fire station theater is located directly on the village pond in the oldest part of Börnicke and, according to the operators, is Brandenburg's smallest theater. I'm not entirely sure, because the "Theater im Bahnwaggon" in Groß Neuendorf an der Oder plays in an old saloon car.

The building ensemble with washhouse and fire station, which was built around 1900, was in danger of falling into disrepair and the old garden was overgrown when, after only two years of construction, the doors of the old, unrenovated fire station opened for the first time in September 2015 for concerts, readings and exhibitions.
