During the First World War, an English hospital was set up in Camiers and the soldiers who visited Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer offered two stained glass windows: Saint-Georges and Saint-Patrice. Between the two wars, the veterans of the Machine Gun Corps offered a third, Sainte-Geneviève, in memory of those of their companions who fell between 1914 and 1918.
