This square in the center of Poreč/Poreč is full of life. With the many restaurants and bars, many people come here to relax. The Euphrasian Basilica is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The basilica is an excellent example of Byzantine architecture in the Mediterranean region and the mosaics are spectacular.

Cycling
The Trg. Slobode, or Freedom Square, is located right at the beginning of the old town and is the pulsating heart of the old town. There are restaurants and cafes all around the square and on the east side the church of Gospa od Andela from the 18th century. Freedom Square is also a popular venue for cultural events, such as the Klappa Festival or the Folklore Meeting.
