Santa Maria di Porto Salvo was built in the 18th century and is in the center of Chianalea. The church was damaged by the strong earthquakes of 1783 and 1908, but fortunately it was not completely destroyed and the residents have repeatedly rebuilt it with their own financial means, so the church can still be visited today.
