The Michaeliskirche is a rectangular transverse hall with a high ridge turret on the side.
It was built between 1799 and 1801 according to the plans of the Kassel master builder Johann Andreas Engelhardt.
The organ from 1820 comes from Kuhlmann, Gottsbüren. The work is partially original with a classical prospectus.
A 1966 window depicting Christ preaching is found above the altar.
A stained glass window depicting the Good Shepherd by the Marburg glass painter K. J. Schultz (1889), formerly installed in the central window above the altar, which was removed in 1966, was discovered in the attic, restored and, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary in 1999, with artificial rear lighting in the installed in the church room.
