The Fremont Street Experience, or as the locals call it, the Fremont Experience, is certainly that; an experience! Also known as "Glitter Gulch," Fremont Street was formerly the heart of Las Vegas. It was where the city's first paved street existed and was where its first hotel, first telephone, first traffic light, first elevator, and its first high-rise building were all located. By the 1990s, however, 80% of the casino market had moved to the Strip and the old casinos on Fremont Street became part of a new outdoor pedestrian mall known as the Fremont Experience. Now, Fremont Street is covered by a 12.5-million LED light canopy that displays different images that you can zipline under. You can also enjoy live music, street performers, and explore the old historic casinos in this lively area.

You should definitely visit if you are in Las Vegas. The old casinos are great to look at, and you can also find beautiful neon signs and hundreds of photo opportunities. Easy to get to from the Strip with "The Deuce" bus.
