Whilst concrete isn't the best for walking on, when we walked this section of the South Downs Way we were flanked either side by bright yellow oil seed rape fields (May 2022) which increased its beauty remarkably.

Mountain biking

A rare concrete stretch of the South Downs Way, which descends from north to south. Fantastic views over Lewes and very scenic in the summer where the fields are vibrantly coloured with yellow and purple flora.
