      Nonke Buusjke is an open-air museum in the Schinveldse Bossen near Schinveld in the Dutch South Limburg municipality of Beekdaelen.       Nonke Buusjke was set up and built by Thei Berkers. He was the driving force behind this open-air museum and also lived on this site himself.       The maintenance of the forest plot with the buildings on it as well as the maintenance of the Nonke Buusjke, the rural way of life and the old culture of the village of Schinveld.
      For about forty years, he and others built Nonke Buusjke, which he constructed from authentic materials that had been used for centuries. The various buildings on the site were built in the old half-timbered style. A number of buildings in Schinveld have been demolished and rebuilt on the site. In addition to the half-timbered farm, there is a bakehouse, syrup distillery, carpentry workshop, weaving house, clog maker and shoemaker. In addition, he also collected tools and implements that were previously used by farmers and practitioners of old crafts.
      Thei Berkers died in 2001.
      The mini-museum village is currently maintained and kept open by volunteers and the museum is used for workshops and demonstrations.
