Name: "Pflugreutmarterl". The very massive cross has a raised plow rod over the entire cross trunk.

32. Outside of Hanberg (Höchstadt a.A.) there is a stone cross on the right on the road to Hessdorf. Figure depicting a plow rod, raised. The figure a below page 156, volume IX of the German Gaue is not on the stone, which can only be meant in the last paragraph of this page. (Rottler 1920)

Steinkreuz immediately south near Hannberg, at the junction of the footpath from the road leading to Hessdorf. Height 1.20m, arm length 0.80m, thickness 0.35x0.35m. The condition is good, only the upper edges and corners are somewhat rounded due to weathering. The material used is sandstone. The form is Greek. On the obverse there is an instrument, which in any case represents a plow rod, i.e. a forked stick used to clear the plowshare and mouldboard of clinging earth. According to legend, a farmer killed his neighboring neighbor here with the Reute because of a border dispute. (Chicken Man 1915)
