Across the city and still by the sea. The footpath and bike path leads directly along the waterfront through Old Monterey past the Aquarium and on to Pacific Grove. The route is partly in the shade thanks to some trees. A worthwhile alternative to the "classic" city tour. As a reward you get impressive views of the Pacific coast.
