Around 1900/1910, this so-called anchor buoy was used for the first time in the North Sea off the Norwegian coast. In 2022, 2 of 5 existing specimens found their way to the North Sea spa town of Carolinensiel - Harlesiel. The buoy is 3.20m x 1.85m with large 2.2cm thick steel and weighs over 2.3 tons. They are in the dunes of Harlesiel and can be booked for up to 2 people looking for adventure. For the cold, the buoy has been equipped with a heater. High-speed WiFi and indirect lighting including USB interfaces further enhance the buoy. As a highlight, the buoy has panoramic glazing, 4 small portholes with fly screens and an XXL porthole as a hatch for the entrance to the adventure. The exclusive location impresses with an unobstructed view of the East Frisian Islands. Outside, guests will find a seating area to relax and have breakfast by the sea.

Interesting accommodation, but you have to like it to spend the night there, so to speak, in public.
