The ascent from Selva to the Gardena Pass is on a wide gravel path. The gradients are usually between 10 and 15 percent, higher up to 20 percent. A total of around 700 meters in altitude have to be overcome.
In terms of landscape, only the upper area in front of the Passo Gardena is attractive. Most of the time you drive in the area of the cable car near the forest on the very coarse gravel road.
With my MTB without support, I had to push myself from time to time because the gravel was churned up, especially in the switchbacks.
