Just like Sasbachwalden, VIllié-Morgon is strongly characterized by viticulture and has around 1,200 hectares of vineyards in the Beaujolais wine region.
The partnership dates back to 1966.
The "Villié-Morgon-Platz" (Villié-Morgon Square) is intended to commemorate this partnership. The figures of people from Villié-Morgon and Sasbachwalden, created by local artist Klaus Olenik, welcoming visitors, impressively stage the partnership.
