The Hinübersche Garten in Marienwerder is one of the earliest landscape gardens in Germany.

The park at Marienwerder Monastery was created around 1766 by the then clerk of the monastery, Jobst Anton von Hinüber, based on the English model.

The "Hexenturm", an artificial ruin from the time the park was created, can be reached by a leash.
At that time, the elevated tower offered a good view of the park and the surrounding area, today the view is blocked by the tall trees.

Benches are set up to linger at particularly beautiful viewpoints.

Relax through the shady Marienwerder forest and in the garden.

In the 18th century, construction work took place on the east wing of the monastery.
In 1727 the monastery was leased to Carl Anton von Hinüber.
From 1760 Jobst Anton von Hinüber was the bailiff of the monastery.
He redesigned it according to the English model into an agricultural model estate.
In 1774, Jobst Anton von Hinüber had an approximately 40 hectare site laid out in a garden in the style of a Jardin anglo-chinois, which was called the Hinüber garden.
The complex contained various staffage structures, such as a "Hexenturm" (artificial tower ruin), a "Chinese pavilion" and a grotto on the bank of the large pond, on which Venetian gondolas floated and in which an island of flowers was laid out.
