An architectural sin from the 70s, the Maritim Strandhotel in Travemünde. It has a height of 125 m (including radio masts) and 36 floors. The highest beacon in Europe, at 117 m, is located on the top floor of the building. In 2019, the Hanseatic city of Lübeck placed the high-rise under monument protection.
