The chapel is renowned for its beautiful bell tower** It was modeled on the tower of the Eglise St-Pierre in Caen, the granite version from Brittany even surpassing the model. Even Vauban was delighted with this "marvel of poise and audacity". The upper part with the spire is in Norman style, the lower part with the diamond pattern of the window crosses and the overhanging balcony reflects the influence of the so-called perpendicular style, late English Gothic.
The interior is largely closed off by a wooden barrel vault. The only stone vault connects the four huge piers in the crossing that support the tower.
The tower can be climbed (169 steps). From the platform, a beautiful view of the city, the île de Batz, the coast and the Monts d'Arrée unfolds.
