As in real life, two "everyday people" are sitting next to the watchtower on a sofa in the shade. The watchtower from around 1480 secured the long flank between the Rhine Gate and the White Tower and the upstream moat. It is connected to the Zwinger Wall, which was placed in front of the actual city wall; the space between the two walls is filled and accessible. The tower was destroyed in World War II and restored in 1993 during renovation work.

From March 30 to June 27, 2023, everyday people will be guests in the Rhine town of Rees for the second time. In total, you can discover almost 50 sculptures at 14 different locations. Stroll through the cozy old town of Rees or stroll along the picturesque Rhine promenade and enjoy "a day's vacation" with everyday people.
