Spinderhuset was built as Hagenskov's northern gatehouse and is first mentioned in a field register in 1610 - as is the southern gatehouse Kobbelhuset some 1 km away towards Snave. Both buildings had the former function as entrances to the plot of the Hagenskov estate. The redwashed northern gatehouse, which is a listed building, is located in what is now the settlement area of the village of Ebberup. It is hard to believe that until 1925 the street still went through the arched passage in the middle part of the house, only then was it led around the building. trap.lex.dk/Spinderhuset,_Ebberup
