Tips
Where the first Saxon military training area Zeithain was set up from 1874, the Soviet stationed forces operated their training center no. 23 until 1992. The military left behind an irregularly structured forest island. Because of the inner open spaces, it is particularly rich in rare life forms.

The tour southeast of Gohrischheide is always beautiful.Off the beaten track, it runs along the edge of the nature reserve.In Lichtensee, you'll find the Sachse Bakery, which you wouldn't expect to find here.
