Urfeld is very crowded on summer weekends and during the main holiday season on other weekdays as well. Please note that the number of parking spaces in Urfeld is very limited. I therefore recommend travelling by bus (No. 9608) from Kochel. There are plenty of parking spaces there - especially at the Kristalltherme. For all hikers from Munich, however, I recommend travelling by public transport: First take the Kochelbahn in Munich and then change to the bus at the train station in Kochel and take the Kesselbergstrasse to Urfeld.
