The Roman Villa of Desenzano del Garda is located near the center and the lakefront of the city. There are several paid parking lots nearby.

The soft light that illuminates a glass cup, which depicts the prediction of Peter's triple negation, opens the path to the second room inside the museum, where the remains of commonly used objects, statues and fragments of frescoes are also kept.

Going outside you find yourself at the entrance to the Roman Villa (1st century BC - 5th century AD) which was originally located on the shores of Lake Garda, but today it is about 70 meters from the lake.

In its rooms, which can still be guessed from the remains of the walls and the layout of the floors, the structure of the Domus can be recognized which has 240 square meters of polychrome mosaics in which scenes with cupids, wild animals, allegories or geometric designs are represented.

It seems that the owner was Flavius Magnus Decentius, mentioned in one of the mosaics, and that the name of the city of Desenzano derives from his name.
