The approximately 0.3 hectare ice pond is located near Herrenberg in the Gutleutshaustäle between Herrenberg and Validstein. The water is partly quite overgrown and relatively rich in nutrients. The water quality class is in area II. The pond probably contains mainly non-predatory fish such as carp and tench. The pond is managed by the Herrenberg fishing club.
