The cycle path was opened around April/May 2023 and runs right next to the district road RH 34. As is often the case with cycle paths, the incline was not adapted to the road, but now and again includes small additional ramps. Due to its young age, the asphalt is still very good, but since the path mostly runs through forest areas, it is quite dirty. Caution is therefore required, especially on the descent to Laffenau. Since the street that runs parallel is part of the Challenge Roth route (long-distance triathlon), many triathletes leave the cycle path on the left or, in this case, on the right. Since the descent to Laffenau can easily reach 50-60 km/h, this may even be the safer option - but everyone has to decide for themselves.
