The origins of the village date back to the Middle Ages. For many centuries, until the beginning of the 19th century, it was a fief of the von Borck family. It was also owned by the following families: von Schladen, von Lettow, von Seld, von Wedel, von Troye, von Benkendorf. In the mid-nineteenth century, the estate was in the hands of the von der Osten family. This family decided to build a magnificent palace.
One of the most beautiful 19th-century palace in Pomerania. It is a stately, complete, well-preserved Neo-Renaissance residence with outbuildings from the same era. The palace is unfortunately abandoned and falling into ruin. The palace is fenced and inaccessible from the outside.
Until the beginning of the 1980s, the correctional institution was located in the palace. A few years after its liquidation, a municipal decision was issued by the decision of the West Pomeranian Voivode. Two years later, the building was purchased by a private entrepreneur. Since then, the palace has changed hands several times. Although it is extremely attractive and could become a prestigious showcase of Poland in the future, with a high-class conference center with a helipad, because such a place, as the owner assures on his website, already exists in the plans, so far the successive owners have not been able to cope with this task. The barrier preventing the restoration of the splendor of the palace are, firstly, very high costs - according to the owner, as much as EUR 4 million, secondly - restrictions imposed by the monument conservator
The residence with farm buildings from the same era, surrounded by a 150-year-old English park, area 6.27 ha with a clear layout of roads and paths inside the park. The area associated with the palace covers 269 hectares. The palace itself was built in the second half of the 19th century. Usable area 3,180 m², total building volume 36,000 m³
