      Obelisk in honor of the scientist Carl Sprengel at ul. National Unity. He is the most famous inhabitant of Resko, a pioneer of artificial fertilization in Germany, a scientist and practitioner. He came from the family of a postal official near Hanover. Already during his studies at the University of Göttingen, he began his first research in the field of soil science and fertilization. In 1839 settled in Resko. He continued his experiments on experimental plots. In 1839 In 1854, he became the secretary general of the Pomeranian Economic Society, based in Resko, and held this position until 1854. In 1842 Karol Sprengel founded the Agricultural Academy in Resko, where he promoted modern methods of cultivation and agriculture. Sprengel was also the founder of the agricultural machinery factory in Resko, which functioned until World War II. His grave has been preserved in the cemetery in Resko.
