n paths through the varied forest.

You will find out how beautiful the original Furlbachtal is. The forest paths are narrow, it goes uphill and downhill again and again. The flat, clear water of the creek lets you see down to its bottom, where the white-yellow senna sand forms fine ripples in the current. The green of the aquatic plants and surrounding wetlands is somehow greener than other streams. And the whole area is home to many rare species: fish like brook lamprey and bullhead, birds like kingfisher and dipper and plants like cotton grass and sundew are still abundant here. You will therefore get to see a lot on your varied hike.

Of particular note is the beautifully grown sycamore maple that can be seen at the top of the trail. Here he stands at the former weir of the dam mill, which itself can no longer be seen. The large beech tree that stands on a hill just before the finish line is also impressively beautiful.

The way there is relatively flat and not directly on the stream. Moors, sand dunes, dry valleys and the Bente ponds can be seen. After the dam mill at the apex of the path, where you can also insert a loop on the Furlbach path, the path leads you up and down along the stream, so that you hike partly at water level, but partly several meters above the watercourse. So you can enjoy the variety of the tour to the fullest.

I drove home after my detour through this section of forest and couldn't resist stopping and taking a few pictures. The view of this small gorge offers great potential for one or two amateur photographers to be able to take great photos at the right time and in good light.

      It is worth it...
