In the center of Schlagenhofen is the distinctive and fenced chapel of St. Michael, which was built well before 1653. The first church, on the foundations of which St. Michael was then built in its present form, existed on this site as early as the early Gothic period. Worth seeing is the church tower with its sundial and some interesting graves in the cemetery surrounding the church.
