Langenbach and Trubelsbach are two near-natural mountain streams that originate between Notschrei and Trubelsmattkopf and flow together at the Muggenbrunn campsite.
The valleys of the streams have been designated as nature reserves due to their unique flora and fauna.
They are part of the European "Natura 2000" network for the conservation of biodiversity and the preservation of Europe's natural heritage.
The nature reserve consists of two sections, forming a diverse mosaic of raised bogs, transitional moors, fens, wet meadows, natterjack grasslands, and other biotopes.
