The Lentos Art Museum is a museum of the avant-garde in Linz. As the successor institution to the Neue Galerie der Stadt Linz, it is one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Austria.

With a clear, coherent, top-class building, created by the Zurich architects Weber & Hofer, Linz has had an art museum of international standing since 2003. The museum, which is impressive in its simplicity and contours the city skyline, has already become a Linz landmark with the nightly lighting of its glass shell. In the immediate vicinity of the Danube, between the Nibelungen Bridge and the Brucknerhaus, it is just a few minutes' walk from the main square and at the same time offers relaxation in the spacious, green riverbank area.
