In the medieval castle Arbon with its defense tower, the visitor will find the largest local and regional historical museum in the canton of Thurgau. The modern designed permanent exhibition takes him on an exciting journey through 5500 years of exciting settlement history on Lake Constance. The late Roman fort dates from the year 250 AD. Between 1510 and 1518 Bishop Hugo von Hohenlandenberg expanded this complex as it is still visible today.
