The Cottaer Busch is the extreme western edge of Saxon Switzerland. The forest is an insider tip among hikers and walkers. Highlights are the Gersdorf ruin, the stone mushroom, the rock bridges and the Zehista walls. Not far away is the Hunting Stone. Paths continue, past the Raabsteinen and the Gottleubatalsperre to the eastern Erzgebirge.

Around 1800 the manor owner von Leuysser laid out this artificial ruin as a romantic hunting lodge. Unfortunately, the view has grown over. Very pretty!
