In a southeasterly direction you come to the extensive buildings of the electoral Weisses Bräuhaus, built in 1607 and now owned by the Weisses Bräuhaus G. Schneider & Sohn GmbH brewery. In the time of Maximilian I (1598-1651) wheat beer could only be brewed in Bavaria in the electoral wheat beer breweries in Munich and Kelheim. The reputation of this beer has made Kelheim known far beyond its borders.

In 1838 the middle part of the long building, the brewhouse, burned down, but was rebuilt the next year. In 1901 the Kuferei burned down and the large hall was built in its place. One of the most beautiful beer gardens in the city is located in the inner courtyard.
