Enjoying the Sonian Forest is easy from the various access gates. These access gates are located on the edge of the forest, are easily accessible and are therefore the ideal starting point to explore the forest.

Here you cycle through the Geographical Arboretum of Tervuren. The construction of the arboretum began in 1902 in a part of the Sonian Forest known as the Capuchin Forest.
The arboretum covers 100 hectares, has more than 700 species of trees and contains both European tree species and specimens from other continents.
Since October 13, 2023, it has been part of the Brabantse Wouden National Park.
