In the park of Tervuren on the edge of the Sonian Forest there are several large ponds. Here in this park you will also find the Africa Museum. During the world exhibition of 1958 an African village was rebuilt here with real African inhabitants. When it turned out that these people were not resistant to the climate this "exhibition" was stopped.
