Cuijk is a place in the province of Noord-Brabant and has around 25,000 inhabitants. The municipality borders on Grave. The Maas line, a railway line from Nijmegen to Venlo, and the A73 Nijmegen-Venray-Venlo motorway run through Cuijk.
In Cuijk there is a tower from the 15th century. Inside this tower is an archeological museum whose collection consists mainly of finds from Roman times.
St. Martin's Church, named after Martin of Tours, was not completed until 1911. Inside is a baroque organ from the end of the 17th century, which has been removed several times from another church and is used for public concerts.
The Vrije Markt in Cuijk was a huge covered flea market and every Saturday it attracted thousands of visitors from near and far. Around 1500 stands were set up in huge harbor halls (22,000 m²). In May 2016, the Vrije Markt Cuijk burned down. The market hall reopened in October 2017 with a smaller retail area than before.
