He stands there all by himself, the old barrack, in the middle of the alpine pasture. A nice place to take a break, because the path is getting steeper and steeper. Here the hiking trail is divided into two directions: right to the Hochalm hut and left to the Gründwaldjoch.

Mountain biking
We came down the Grünwaldjoch, a purest dry river bed but not a mountain bike route. The gravel is so deep that you have to get down.
In between, it is definitely a great route for full professionals for thrills.
The right path from the Alm, others have reported that they almost only had to push down the mountain.
So it's just not fun at all, and certainly not up.
