Termunten is a small Dutch coastal town, with its district Termunterzijl. The two towns are interspersed with settlements. The church is located in Termunten, and the dike lock, also called a sluice (Dutch: Zijl), was built in Termunterzijl.
From the dike in Termunterzijl, you can see as far as Emden (Germany). The island of Borkum can also be seen on clear days. You can also observe the shipping traffic.
