In 1395, the owners Stephan and Katrey Weykerstorfer handed over the mill to the Horner Bürgerspital. It remained in their possession until 1795. That's why it was called "Spitalmühle" for a long time. In 1795 it was sold to private property and remained so until 1901, when it was closed as a mill and continued to serve as a nickel-plating workshop.
