The "General's House", built in half-timbered style on a stone base, was built in 1550/1552 by Georg von Buchenau and his wife Susanne von Mansbach. It was probably destroyed in the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) and was renovated by Wolf Christoph Schenck zu Schweinsberg in 1713. The attached battlement tower dates from 1904.
