The statue, holds a special significance as it commemorates Roger Casement's remarkable life. Casement was born in Sandycove in 1864 and went on to become an early international human rights campaigner. Tragically, he was executed for his involvement in the 1916 Rising, making his story an integral part of Irish history.
This statue, situated at Dún Laoghaire Baths, stands as a lasting tribute to Casement's dedication to human rights and his role in the struggle for Irish independence.
