Along the Old Pipeline Track you can follow exactly that for miles and miles: the old pipeline that was built to power the aluminum works in Kinlochleven. As far as I could research it was built by German war prisoners after World War I. You can hike on the pipes itself or just next to it. It is a very impressive experience!
