The long-distance hiking trail Cami de Cavalls (GR 223) takes you around Menorca, always along the coast. It has a centuries-old history, which is why the Menorcans consider it a cultural heritage of its own. The path played an important role in defense due to pirate raids in the 16th century. It was forgotten for a long time, was gradually swallowed up by private property and only later reopened, restored and signposted for tourist purposes. Since 2010, the path has been marked and expanded for hikers, cyclists and horse riders.

The Cami de Cavalls is a great long-distance hiking trail close to nature! If you love nature, this is the right place for you. You are almost always alone, you don't see any rubbish lying around, you only meet day-trippers near the bathing bays.
The path is often demanding and steep, so sturdy shoes are recommended and you should have enough to drink with you. It's especially fun to walk the cami over a longer stretch.
